Spring 2020 Commencement

March 24, 2020 - With the rapid spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the University of New Mexico and the UNM ³ÉÈËÖ±²¥ campus are taking every precaution to protect the communities we serve. There are still many unknowns on how this virus will progress and the overall impact it will have locally and nationally. To that end, we are continuing efforts to limit potential sources of exposure while implementing methods that support the need for social distancing.

On March 23, 2020 President Stokes released an , in which the undoubtedly difficult decision to postpone Spring 2020 commencement was shared. While the decision to postpone the various commencement activities—including the ceremony scheduled for UNM ³ÉÈËÖ±²¥â€”is disappointing,it is one that we will support with the understanding that the wellbeing of our students, our employees, and our community must always come first.
